Protect. Preserve. Restore.

Donate

When you donate to Falmouth Water Stewards, your contribution supports water quality studies of local ponds, support of local community events, awards for local science fairs, and cyanobacteria monitoring in local ponds.

Falmouth Water Stewards is a science-based advocacy and education organization—and the only group solely dedicated to protecting and restoring Falmouth’s precious freshwater and coastal waters.

Your donation supports the work of the FWS.

Our Work:

  • Education – FWS Board and community members support educational programs for Falmouth Public Schools that introduce students to the rich ecological habitats in Falmouth and promotes science investigation at all grade levels.

  • Advocacy – FWS informs the public on critical ecological issues regarding freshwater and coastal habitats through testimony, news articles, and publications.

  • Citizen Science – FWS invite and train volunteers to participate in pond monitoring programs, present public lectures on environmental issues, mail brochures on ecological information for water protection, and submit news articles to The Falmouth Enterprise.

  • Reports – FWS publish newsletters, annual reports, and project summaries and distribute these documents to FWS members.

With more miles of coastline than any other town in Massachusetts, abundant fresh and salt water ponds, streams and rivers, and the only surface groundwater aquifer on the Cape, water is the social, environmental and economic lifeblood of Falmouth.
